Three textile miniatures – situated between uniform references, echoes of traditional dress, and decorative autonomy.
Formally inspired by military side caps worn in various armies since the late 19th century, these works are translated into the language of handcraft: light, idiosyncratic, intentionally placed.
Each piece carries an individual gesture; together, they form a small formation of textile remembrance.
1. Cap with miniature 'Riegelhaube'
A pink model with a feather plume, decorative trim, and a miniature 'Riegelhaube' – traditionally bobbin-laced by a woman from a Munich traditional costume association.
A formal citation, shifted and reinterpreted: not worn for representation, but as a displaced sign at the margins.
2. Cap with flower and tassel
Cotton yarn with Lurex, leather flower, blue-grey feathers, metal tassel.
The tassel quotes the 'Gamsbart' – abstracted, miniaturized, devoid of trophy pathos.
A decorative element with hints of custom and ornament.
3. Cap made of boiled wool with flower of wild silk
A dark violet model, sewn from boiled wool, adorned with a stylized flower made of wild silk.
Restrained in form, deliberate in gesture – worn like a subtle salute.
