This hair ornament was created as part of a collaboration with Absolut Vodka – as a free artistic reinterpretation of the traditional Midsummer wreath.

The central bloom, made of pink and purple drinking straws, unfolds in a lush, baroque gesture, flanked by green straw-leaves and side-bound raffia.

The material choice is no coincidence: straw meets straw – in both rural and urban registers, between natural imagery and cocktail culture.

The form references floral mythology, festive crowns, and exaggerated party ornamentation – somewhere between headdress, irony, and display.

What emerges is an oversized hair ornament that transforms a northern cultural icon into a tongue-in-cheek bloom of excess – playful, critical, and in full synthetic bloom.
